The Annotated Texas Family Code is a joint project of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Family Law Foundation. The contributors to this book represent some of the finest family law practitioners in Texas; many of them have served on the section’s legislative committee. They have brought their considerable experience to bear on drafting useful and insightful annotations to the Code. In addition to the annotations, additional resources include more than one hundred CLE articles of interest to practitioners, and full copies of all TexasBarCLE articles referenced are included in the digital version of the publication.
This volume provides the practitioner with a series of detailed annotations drawing on statutory law, case law, practical observations, and drafting concepts for use by practitioners in a family law practice.
The Annotated Texas Family Code digital product is included with purchase of the book. Texas and federal case and statutory citations are linked to Casemaker. Also included are the full text of selected CLE articles from the TexasBarCLE Online Library.
This edition of the Texas Family Code has been tailored to fit the needs of Texas family law practitioners. To this end this edition focuses on the portions of the Code of primary interest and usefulness in family law cases, and Titles 3 and 3A have been omitted.
