Advanced Family Law – Safety Protocols
Dear Family Law Course Registrants,
We are so excited to be able to meet again in person and thank you for your support and cooperation in making this program safe and successful.
With the recent increase in COVID cases across Texas and the country, we encourage everyone to help us make this event a success by making it as safe as possible. With the rise of the faster spreading Delta variant, the CDC, Texas health authorities, and city governments are recommending unvaccinated people wear masks indoors and outdoors and avoid group gatherings. Since vaccinated people can contract and pass the Delta COVID variant to more vulnerable members in our community, they also recommend vaccinated people wear masks indoors in group settings, such as this course. For your safety and that of your colleagues, the CLE and hotel staff, and everyone’s families, please wear a mask and keep a safe distance. As leaders in our profession and communities, let’s do our part to slow the spread so we can resume all the everyday activities we enjoy.
Please know that disposable masks and sanitizer will be available during the conference. In order to provide options for attendees to spread out, we will offer distanced seating and have two overflow ballrooms where the video stream will be broadcast live (overflow ballrooms will be at the Rivercenter and Riverwalk hotels). The program will also be simulcast into the sleeping rooms at both hotels each day of the program.
If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms, have COVID, or have been exposed, please stay home and the State Bar will give you a refund or will transfer you to an Advanced Family Law webcast or video replay in September or October.
Thank you from your AFL Course Directors!
